The Bartagunyah Estate vineyard was first established in 1997 and the resulting wines have quickly become renowned for their quality.
Bartagunyah enjoys a Mediterranean climate, 400m above sea-level with an average annual rainfall of 600mm. The grapes are grown without irrigation giving a low crop density.
Bartagunyah's uniquely elevated growing environment produces high quality fruit and wine, having a distinctively rich intense flavour with a rounded palate. The red wines are made exclusively from the grapes grown on the property.
The Bartagunyah Cellar Door is situated on the property, 5 kilometres from Melrose along the Scenic Survey Road - see our location map for more details. Visitors can experience the unique setting while sampling the superb wines made by O'Leary Walker, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Vintage Shiraz.
